Event Overview:
The MLA annual meeting is the premier event for health information professionals around the world. Through its programs and services, MLA provides lifelong educational opportunities, supports a knowledgebase of health information research, and works with a global network of partners to promote the importance of quality information for improved health to the health care community and the public.
MLA members and others with an interest in health sciences librarianship meet each May for five days of professional development, contributed papers, exhibits, and much more. Registration for each year's annual meeting generally opens in January.
Exhibitor Information:
In 2015, MLA makes its inaugural visit to the capital of Texas, Austin. Renowned as the Live Music Capital of the World, Austin has earned the reputation of being a very different place: a fun, progressive, growing city not confined by the traditional. Librarians follow traditional goals to organize and ensure access to vast amounts of information; yet are connecting to their users in unconventional ways. While at the Annual Meeting, librarians will search for ways to think beyond the conventional, they look for the products and services that make them and their libraries integral parts of the future of the environments in which they provide services.
With over 1,600 attendees and 120 exhibitors, exhibiting at the Medical Library Association Annual Meeting and Exhibition is the best way to meet medical librarians and related health information professionals. Over 98 percent of meeting attendees visit the Hall of Exhibits.
