Overview:
International Poultry Expo, International Feed Expo, and International Meat Expo integrated their tradeshows in 2013, under the International Production & Processing Expo. The 2014 IPPE will bring together more than 1,100 exhibitors and over 25,000 attendees in Atlanta from January 28 - 30, 2014.
The International Production and Processing Expo represents animal agriculture, from farm to point-of-sale, combining the networking and educational resources of the American Feed Industry Association, American Meat Institute, and U.S. Poultry & Egg Association. Comprised of the three integrated tradeshows -- International Poultry Expo, International Feed Expo, and International Meat Expo -- IPPE features the world's largest annual gathering of industry leaders and the most comprehensive display of the latest technology, equipment, supplies, and services used by poultry, feed, and meat companies.
For the poultry industry specifically, the International Poultry Expo is the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association's annual signature event. The funds generated from the International Poultry Expo are reinvested back into the industry in the form of research grants, educational programs, communications, and technical assistance that benefit all segments of the industry.
The International Production & Processing Expo is the world's largest annual poultry, meat and feed industry event of its kind. A wide range of international decision-makers attend this annual event to network and become informed on the latest technological developments and issues facing the industry.
The event is sponsored by U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY), the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), and the American Meat Institute (AMI).
About USPOULTRY:
The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association is the world's largest and most active poultry organization. We represent the entire industry as an "All Feather" association. Membership includes producers and processors of broilers, turkeys, ducks, eggs, and breeding stock, as well as allied companies. Formed in 1947, the association has affiliations in 27 states and member companies worldwide.
About AFIA:
AFIA, based in Arlington, Va., is the world’s largest organization devoted exclusively to representing the business, legislative and regulatory interests of the U.S. animal feed industry and its suppliers. Founded in 1909, AFIA also is the recognized leader on international industry developments. Members include more than 500 domestic and international companies and state, regional and national associations. Member-companies are livestock feed and pet food manufacturers, integrators, pharmaceutical companies, ingredient suppliers, equipment manufacturers and companies which supply other products, services and supplies to feed manufacturers.
About AMI:
AMI is a national trade association that represents companies that process 95 percent of red meat and 70 percent of turkey in the US and their suppliers throughout America. Headquartered in metropolitan Washington, DC, AMI keeps its fingers on the pulse of legislation, regulation and media activity that impacts the meat and poultry industry and provides rapid updates and analyses to its members to help them stay informed. In addition, AMI conducts scientific research through its Foundation designed to help meat and poultry companies improve their plants and their products. The Institute's many meetings and educational seminars also provide excellent networking and information-sharing opportunities for members of the industry.
