Overview
National Conference on Correctional Health Care is the largest event focused on correctional health care in North America.
Why Attend – 2022
Conference highlights include 100 educational presentations, Preconference seminars, Keynote session and annual awards, CCHP exams, and Exhibit hall events.
Attendees will be able to gain insights from leading experts in correctional and public health and view problem-solving products and services in the exhibit hall. They also get to learn from authorities with practical experience in health care delivery in jails, prisons and juvenile facilities.
The program, including preconference seminars, will offer approximately 30 hours of continuing education for physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and CCHPs.
Why Exhibit – 2022
Being the premier annual meeting in correctional health care, the meeting attracts an estimated 1,500 professionals who influence or make decisions about correctional health care products and services. These professionals spend significant time browsing the conference exhibits to learn about the latest medical supplies and pharmaceuticals, information technology, contract services, staffing services and more. Exhibitors will be able to demonstrate their products and services to these motivated professionals.
Organizer
The National Commission on Correctional Health Care’s (NCCHC) origins date to the early 1970s, when an American Medical Association study of jails found inadequate, disorganized health services and a lack of national standards. In collaboration with other organizations, the AMA established a program that in 1983 became an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization: the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC).
The mission of the National Commission on Correctional Health Care is to improve the quality of health care in jails, prisons, and juvenile confinement facilities.
