One of the most accomplished Jewish baseball players in Major League Baseball history, Green spent the majority of his 15-year career with the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers. A rightfielder, Green hit 328 home runs in his career, and he eclipsed 40 in a season three times. In 2002 with the Dodgers, Green became the 14th player in MLB history to hit four home runs in one game. He was also a two-time All-Star and won Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Awards in 1999.
Upon his retirement in 2007 he was second only to Hank Greenberg in career home runs and runs batted in (1,070) among Jewish baseball players. He has been involved with many charities, including the Special Olympics, Parkinsons Foundation and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. In 2014 he founded Greenfly, a mobile-based platform that connects media companies with athletes and celebrities.
